The Omni Severin Hotel has stood at the heart of Indianapolis since 1913, rising on the site of the former Grand Hotel to welcome travelers arriving at bustling Union Station. Built by Henry Severin Jr. with support from local visionaries Carl G. Fisher and James A. Allison, it quickly became a downtown icon, dazzling guests with a grand marble staircase, an Austrian crystal chandelier, and timeless elegance.

Through the decades, the hotel weathered the decline of rail travel, changes in ownership, and even a rebranding as the Atkinson Hotel, before Omni Hotels & Resorts led a restoration that returned it to its former glory. Today, as the city’s longest-running luxury hotel and a proud member of Historic Hotels of America, the Omni Severin blends historic charm with modern sophistication and amenities, offering visitors a front-row seat to more than a century of Indianapolis history.
