Some of the best Virginia fly fishing is offered on the beautiful private waters of the Cascades Stream. Anglers will experience a renowned trout fishery through some of the area’s most scenic landscape. Catch and release fly fishing only.
Our Orvis-endorsed guides are available for fly fishing lessons or guiding services. Two-hour to full-day packages include stream permit, all equipment, and guide service.

GUIDED FLY FISHING
Join one of our seasoned guides for a four-hour or full day fly fishing experience on our private Cascades stream. This Blue Ribbon stream has stocked and wild rainbow trout and is ideal for any skill level.
Seasonal fly fishing is also available on the Upper and Lower Jackson River. Spend a half day or full day fishing for rainbow, brown and occasionally native brook trout which inhabit this area. Full day outings include lunch.
FLOAT FISHING
Float Fishing is a unique form of fly fishing that allows two anglers along with a guide to experience several miles of beautiful river. Fishing is for trout on the lower Jackson River below Lake Moomaw. Anglers should plan for a full day of fishing and fun and should be able to get in and out of the boat and wade through shallow areas. Lunch is included. This activity is seasonal and available starting late spring when the water levels on the river begin to drop. A Virginia fishing license and National Forestry stamp are required. CASTING CLINIC
Join us for an immersive fly-fishing clinic at The Omni Homestead Resort, where our experienced guides will introduce you to the art of fly casting. Whether you're a novice angler or seeking to refine your technique, our one-hour clinic on dry land will provide valuable insights and hands-on instruction on casting techniques and fly selections for different conditions. Embrace the tranquility of our scenic setting and the thrill of fly fishing with us.

GUIDED WALK WADE FLY FISHING
Our skilled fishing guide will lead this incredible experience as you fly fish for wild browns, rainbows, and small mouth bass on a private stretch of the Jackson River. Full service guided trips include rod and wading equipment with guide service. A private lake fishing option is also available. 6 rod per day limit. $100 per rod private land access fee. ONE-DAY HOMESTEAD FLY FISHING SCHOOL
The Omni Homestead Fly Fishing Schools offer an exhilarating day of fly fishing instruction. Spend the day with one of our Orvis Endorsed guides learning fly selection, casting, fishing techniques, essential knots, equipment, entomology, and the secrets behind water and currents. Full service guided trips include rod and wading equipment with guide service. Available April through November. Advance reservations are required and can be made by calling Allegheny Activities at (540) 839-7741.

Cancellation Policy:
Please be advised that no-shows and cancellations made 24 hours or less before a reservation will be charged the full fee. Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance will be processed without penalty.
Payment for all resort charges, such as dining, shop purchases and activity fees, will be to your guest room folio or credit card. The Omni Homestead Resort's restaurants, bars, retail shops and amenities will no longer accept cash.
