The Homestead Shooting Club
With a history dating back to 1933, our historic gun club hosted the first-ever U.S. Open Sporting Clays Championship in 1992. Certified N.S.C.A shooting instructors are ready to enhance your experience at the resort by providing guidance along our world famous sporting clays courses. Take an adventure through almost a mile of wooded courses that simulate many types of game birds and rabbits. Best of all, we will outfit you with guns, ammo, targets and vests as well as eye and ear protection for your safety and comfort.

Lessons
Our certified N.S.C.A. shooting instructors are available for group and private lessons. Reservations are required at our Virginia shooting range. Call (540) 839–7787 for further information or to set up an appointment.

2025 Blue Ridge Team Challenge | April 5, 2025
Join us on Saturday, April 5, 2025, for an epic shooting challenge at The Omni Homestead Resort. This thrilling 5-Man Team Event features 200 targets, including 100 NSCA Registered Sporting Clays Targets and 100 additional targets across four exciting shooting games. The entry fee is $130 per shooter ($650 per team) and includes lunch, plus you’ll get $10 back to class for Sporting Clays participants. Registration kicks off at 8 AM, with shooting starting promptly at 9 AM—so no late arrivals, please! Teams must pre-register as spots are limited to 20 teams. Gather your crew, sharpen your aim, and get ready for a fantastic day of camaraderie and competition. Don’t miss out—secure your place today.

2025 Homestead Cup & Cauley Classic | May 3-4, 2025
Get ready for an action-packed weekend on Saturday and Sunday, May 3-4, 2025, with the Cauley Classic and Homestead Cup! Experience a thrilling lineup featuring 100 Sporting Clays Targets for each event, plus 50 5 Stand Targets and 50 12ga Sub Event Targets. Your entry includes a delicious lunch and all NSCA fees, plus you'll receive $10 back to class for both the Sporting Clays and 5-Stand events.
Registration opens at 8:30 AM, and shooting kicks off at 9:30 AM—so make sure to arrive early! Don’t forget, pre-registration is essential to secure your lunch ticket.

Cancellation Policy
Please be advised that no-shows and cancellations made 24 hours or less before a reservation will be charged the full fee. Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance will be processed without penalty.
All firearms must be unloaded and cased during transportation to and from the Shooting Club and inside the resort.
Payment for all resort charges, such as dining, shop purchases and activity fees, will be to your guest room folio or credit card. The Omni Homestead resort's restaurants, bars, retail shops and amenities will no longer accept cash.
