Point State Park

Point State Park is located at the tip of Pittsburgh’s “Golden Triangle,” just half a mile from Omni William Penn Hotel. It serves as a National Historic Landmark for the French and Indian War. The park has all kinds of recreational activities for a fun-filled day in Pittsburgh. Walk the riverfront for dramatic views of the city, go kayaking, fishing, or take a hike through Three Rivers Heritage Trail. The trail connects to the Great Allegheny Passage and the Pittsburgh to Harrisburg Main Line Canal Greenway.

Take in a little history at the Fort Pitt Museum. It tells the story of western Pennsylvania during the French and Indian War and the American Revolution. The Fort Pitt Blockhouse is the only surviving structure of Fort Pitt, central British quarters during the French and Indian War. It was built in 1764 and is the oldest architectural landmark in Pittsburgh.
