The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, alongside the Humanities Center at Carnegie Mellon University, invites you to the Pittsburgh Humanities Festival, presented by Citizens. Renowned artists, performers, community leaders, scholars, and changemakers from Pittsburgh and around the world will come together to discuss art, politics, history, diverse cultures, and much more as we collectively explore the human experience.

With around 20% of Pittsburgh's population proudly claiming Irish roots, it’s no wonder the Steel City throws one of the biggest St. Patrick’s Day bashes in the country. Every year, Irish dancers, marching bands, military groups, community organizations, and even Punxsutawney Phil himself strut down Grant Street, rain, snow, or shine. What started over 150 years ago as a celebration of St. Patrick has evolved into a full-on citywide party where “everyone is Irish for the day.” So, grab your green (or black and gold) and join the fun—starting with mass at Old St. Patrick’s and ending in a sea of green along the parade route.
